Dress Code

The Club would appreciate the support of all Members, visitors and their guests to maintain acceptable standards of dress when playing the course, using the Clubhouse or attending a function at the Club.

Dress on the Course

Golf wear sold by any Professional, golf shop or clothes of the same style sold in retail outlets. Golf shirts with collar types such as, traditional, blade and turtleneck are preferred, and for Gents, should remain tucked in at all times. Golf caps, if worn, should have the peak facing forward. Shorts are permitted but styling must be in line with what is commonly referred to as “golf attire”, no cargo shorts or trousers. Sports socks, including trainer liners, of any colour are permitted.

Dress in the Clubhouse

The Club wishes to promote a smart casual environment throughout the clubhouse, which includes denim.  Club appropriate denim is defined as properly sized, in excellent condition, and consistent in colour and must not include holes, rips or frayed material.

Tasteful and appropriate shirts and shoes must be worn. Shirts should be tucked in unless tailored for wear outside of the trousers / skirts.

There will be occasions when more formal dress is required and these will be specified on the notice boards and by the event organiser.

Outdoor clothing such as waterproofs, overcoats, hats, gloves, and golf shoes must be removed and placed in the locker room.

All golfers are requested to remove hats inside the Clubhouse

The following items of dress are unacceptable:

  • Rugby or Football attire
  • Beach flip flops and training shoes
  • Collarless shirts (for men) except as allowed above.

While we expect that members and visitors will use good taste and judgment, the Club Management will discreetly review any inappropriate casual attire directly with the member or visitor to ensure that the Club maintains a casual environment that is enjoyable for everyone.

The unauthorised use of mobile phones in the Clubhouse or on the course is prohibited. Mobile phones allowed to be used to report an incident or to call emergency services.

IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PARTY ORGANISER TO ENSURE THAT ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE AWARE IN ADVANCE OF THESE RULES SINCE THE MANAGEMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO INSIST THAT ANYONE NOT COMPLYING LEAVES THE COURSE OR CLUBHOUSE
